Compass – A Unique Day Support Program (21+)
Compass provides a unique day support program for young adults who are:
- 21 years or older
- Completed high school
- Eligible for BHDDH
These young adults have entered adult services and want support to continue their transition to employment, increase their level of independence, and create a happy, healthy, satisfying adult life. Participants are supported by the RI Division of Developmental Disabilities (BHDDH) through individual self-directed support plans.
Compass self-directed services provide the participant and their family with assistance in designing, directing, and managing their support services. The Compass program includes:
- Vocational skills
- Life skills facilitators
- Community activities
- Interpersonal relationship development
- Person-centered planning
- Employment supports
