The West Bay Collaborative strives to provide access to appropriate technology to all students, and staff to enhance the educational experience. Utilizing technology delivered through the use of conventional computer labs to wireless mobile technology along with interactive teaching technology, West Bay Collaborative staff strives to create a digital learning environment while also teaching our students to be good digital citizens.
West Bay Collaborative works to reduce the cost of technology by participating in such programs as the Federal E-Rate, and applying for grants from organization such as the Rhode Island Foundation, Champlain Funds, etc.
In the fall of 2013, classroom sets of iPads were introduced for usage by students in our Alternative Learning Programs.
In 2014, our Alternative Learning Programs and Transition Academy utilize laptops, iPads and on-line learning tools to enhance instruction and opportunities for learning.
And in 2015, Chromebooks were purchased for classroom use to enhance opportunities for student learning and collaboration. West Bay is engaged in blended learning for a majority of its students.
