United Way Grant Award

West Bay Collaborative is happy to announce that it has received a $75,000 grant from the United Way of Rhode Island, in support of the Graduate! RI project.  Under the leadership of Jill Holloway, Director of the RI Adult Education Professional Development Center at West Bay, this project will provide a one-stop information center for adult learners seeking to complete their work towards an undergraduate degree or professional certificate.  The anticipated launch date will be in December, and work is well underway.

Music Therapy

West Bay Collaborative is pleased to introduce our new staff member, SAMUEL DONOVAN, a nationally certified and Rhode Island licensed MUSIC THERAPIST.   "Music is therapy. Music moves people.It connects people in a wayno other medium can.It pulls heartstrings.          It acts as medicine."     Author: Macklemore   A recent graduate of Montclair State University in New Jersey, Mr. Donovan has provided music therapy to children and adults in New Jersey and Connecticut, and is also a talented musician, performing with instrumental and vocal groups. Having relocated to Rhode Island, he is now available to schools and other organizations, and may be contracted to provide assessments, evaluations, and direct music therapy services to individuals and/or small groups.  For further information, please contact:Karen G.
